On December 10, 2025, Mr. Wang Boyong, CIIDS Vice Chairman and Secretary-General, met with the visiting delegation led by Mr. Eddy Suparno, Deputy Speaker of People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, at CIIDS headquarters.

Secretary General Wang extended a warm welcome to Mr. Eddy Suparno's visit and introduced CIIDS and its flagship Understanding China Conference. He emphasized that CIIDS adheres to and promotes the concept of peaceful development, and is committed to contributing to building a community of shared interests between China and countries around the world, including Indonesia, to achieve common peaceful development. CIIDS attaches great importance to and strives to promote China-Indonesia think tank exchanges, as well as economic, trade and sub-national cooperation. Secretary General Wang added that Mr. Eddy Suparno has long been committed to advancing  the development of the circular economy, energy transition and other key sectors, and expressed his delight in learning that this visit to China also aims to facilitate investment cooperation in Indonesia's green energy sector involving Beijing Zhongke Qingfeng Technology Co., Ltd., a leading technology enterprise specializing in the construction of small-scale waste incineration   facilities. Secretary General Wang commended Mr. Eddy Suparno's pragmatic   spirit and stated that CIIDS will continue to play its role in empowering innovation, facilitating more outstanding Chinese enterprises to deepen their presence in the Indonesian market. He also looked forward to the continued support of Mr. Eddy Supano for   CIIDS's partner, Beijing Zhongke Qingfeng Technology Co., Ltd., in its cooperation with Indonesia.

Mr. Eddy Suparno fully recognized and praised CIIDS for its important role in promoting China-Indonesia think tank exchanges and bilateral cooperation in waste incineration and green energy sectors. He welcomed CIIDS to encourage more enterprises to invest and develop in Indonesia, and expressed his willingness to promote deeper collaboration between Indonesian think tanks and CIIDS.

Both sides agreed to strengthen exchanges and mutual visits. Secretary General Wang Boyong invited Mr. Eddy Suparno to attend the 2026 Understanding China Conference, and Mr. Eddy Suparno invited the Secretary General to lead a delegation to visit Indonesia at an appropriate time.
