On the afternoon of May 28th, CIIDS Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Mr. Wang Boyong met with Neil Bush, Chair of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations (Bush China Foundation). The two sides exchanged views on issues such as China-US relations and strengthening exchanges between CIIDS and the Bush China Foundation .
Wang Boyong said that Mr. Neil Bush has been making contributions to promoting the stable and healthy development of China-US relations over the years. CIIDS will also take greater measures to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States in economy and trade, culture, education and other fields. Neil Bush said that China's peaceful rise is not a threat to the United States, and that China is a friend, rather than an enemy, of the United States. He agreed that both sides should enhance cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. He also expressed willingness to work with CIIDS to help the world better understand China.
