On the afternoon of May 13, Li Junru, Executive Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee of the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy, and Cui Tiankai, Advisor to the Council of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and Former Chinese Ambassador to the United States, led a delegation of Chinese experts and scholars in a collective exchange with ASEAN ambassadors to ASEAN in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The exchange meeting was chaired by H.E. Hou Yanqi, Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN. Ambassadors, senior diplomats from ASEAN countries and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, and the Chinese delegation engaged in discussion under the theme of "China-US-Southeast Asia Relations and How to Expand Opportunities Amid Challenges".
