On August 13, 2024, Founding Chairman Zheng Bijian met with H.E. Kanasugi Kenji, Japanese Ambassador to China, at CIIDS. The two sides exchanged views on stabilizing the China-Japan relations among other issues of shared interest.

CIIDS Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Wang Boyong and Minister of the Japanese Embassy in Beijing Mr. Nonomura Kaitaro were present at the meeting.
