On November 18, 2018, Chaiman Zheng Bijian, was invited to the Symposium on “One Belt and One Road” and the Construction of Guangzhou as an International Metropolis hosted by Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences, and organized by Guangzhou Urban Strategic Research Institute.

Chairman Zheng Bijian met upon invitation with Mr. Yutaka Yokoi, Japanese Ambassador to China, at the ambassador's residence on May 17th, 2019. The two sides exchanged views on the Sino-Japanese relations and other issues of common interest.

On December 18, the third "Understanding China" Conference ended successfully in Beijing Hotel. Zheng Bijian, Chairman of CIIDS (China Institute of Innovation and Development Strategy), delivered the closing speech.
