The 2023 Understanding China Conference (Guangzhou) to be held, with the blessing of the central Party and State authorities.

The 2023 Understanding China Conference will be convened in Guangzhou, China on December 1 - 3. Jointly organized by the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy (CIIDS), the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and hosted by the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, the three-day event is themed "China's New Endeavors Amid Unprecedented Global Changes——Expanding the Convergence of Interests and Building a Community with Shared Future", and will gather guests from around the world to sit for in-depth dialogues and full exchanges of views, to demonstrate to the international community China's unwavering commitment to high-quality development, high-level opening up and deeper reform, boost the confidence of the world in expanding the convergence of interests and building a community with shared future, and, on top of it all, to help the world better understand China in the new era and the governing Communist Party of China.
